Today, the German government passed a draft ordinance on the costs and fees for access to hydrogen networks (Hydrogen Network Fee Ordinance) put forward by the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy.
The ordinance supplements the Access to Hydrogen Networks Regulation, which is already in force. It only applies to hydrogen network operators who wish to play a part in regulating the operation of the hydrogen network. Other operators of hydrogen networks are still free to determine the costs of network operation and network fees. As such, it entails a right to vote.
The ordinance is now being submitted to the German Bundesrat (Federal Council) for a decision.
